Back in 2021, in the height of the COVID pandemic, we were unable to hold our annual, in-person Earth Day celebration.

SO! Instead, we created a Custom Google Map of cool places and hidden gems & activities in Maple Ridge and encouraged residents to get out & safely explore their own neighbourhoods. Since then, the map has been viewed over 30,000 and we keep finding new things to add to it! It is a great resource for new and established residents alike to see another side to their community and create memories – Enjoy!

  Environmental Programs

Ridge Meadows Recycling works in partnership with the City of Maple Ridge to administer a number of environmental programs that promote waste reduction, energy & water conservation, and reduce the number of interactions with wildlife in our community through the Wildsafe BC program.

Supported Work Program

RMRS partners with Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) to run the Supported Work Program, providing employment and training to people with developmental disabilities.

Events & Festivals

After the success of our 40th Anniversary Celebration in 2012, Ridge Meadows Recycling continued to organize the Celebrate Earth Day in Maple Ridge festivities at Memorial Peace Park.
