1. Full-Time Process Mentor Position Available at Maple Ridge Recycling Depot

Ridge Meadows Recycling Society is looking for a Full Time Process Mentor to work at the Maple Ridge Recycling Depot.

The position is full-time and may include weekends. Rate of pay is $27.25/hour. Available immediately, please send in your application ASAP.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
-daily processing & shipping of recyclables – ensure consistent flow of incoming & outgoing products
-unloading recycling trucks, operating forklift, loading trucks for shipping
-complete all required reports and paperwork as required for shipping
-assisting the public with placing recyclables in the correct area
-knowledge of all Extended Producer Responsibility programs at Depot and materials collected
-pre-trip all equipment, operate all job-related equipment – bin tippers, pallet jacks, baler, conveyor belts, chop saw, etc.
-act as a mentor or role model for Process Workers, assist Supervisors as required
-offer suggestions & guidance to other staff, be aware of on-site activities & take appropriate action as needed.
-general cleanup – maintain a clean worksite, other duties as assigned
*Note: PHYSICAL, outdoor work – applicant must be able to perform physical labour such as lifting, bending, & running and will work in all weather conditions

Required Qualifications:
-Class 5 Driver’s Licence
-Air Brakes Endorsement
-Forklift Certification
-Current Driver’s Abstract

Preferred Education/Qualifications:
-WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) Training
-First Aid Training
-Basic mechanical, hydraulics aptitude
-Skid-Steer Loader certification
-Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate

2. Full-Time Truck Driver Positions Available

Ridge Meadows Recycling Society has truck driver positions available immediately.

The positions are full time (40 hours/week plus overtime) and pay $27.25/hour. Please send in your application ASAP.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
-Responsible for timely pickup of recyclable commodities at houses, apartments, and townhouses
-Responsible for driving recycling truck & commodity pickup (“swamping”)
-Maintain Daily Inspection Report of truck & equipment
-Maintain accurate Tonnage & Milage Reports
-Complete all required reports & paperwork as assigned
-Clear Driving Abstract – to be supplied with application
-Ability to operate other job-related equipment (eg. bin tippers, pallet jacks)
-Customer Service – ability to answer questions & handle individual customer concerns
-Responsible for overseeing Swampers and ensuring their safety
-Processing recyclables at the Maple Ridge Recycling Depot
-Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
-Truck driving experience
-Able to perform physical labour such as lifting, bending & running
-Able to work in all weather conditions
-Understand and adhere to safety requirements

Qualifications:
-Air Brake Licence              -First Aid an asset            -Neat appearance and good communication skills
