Plastic Free Julyis a global movement to encourage people to avoid single-use plastic, recycle the plastic they can’t avoid, and to educate others about plastic waste.
As part of Plastic Free July, Maple Ridge Climate Hub and Ridge Meadows Recycling Society are co-hosting an on-demand screening of the revealing documentary, “The Story of Plastic,” followed by a post-screening discussion on Zoom.
The Story of Plastic takes a sweeping look at the man-made crisis of plastic pollution, and the worldwide effect it has on the health of our planet and the people who inhabit it (see trailer below).

Everyone is reminded to maintain the 2-meter distance from others while at the Recycling Depot.
